I'm with you on this. I don't see why everyone says the course is fast. It has a ton of rolling hills. Chicago is an example of a flat, fact course profile. Mountains to Beach, Ventura, Tucson are fast course profiles.
CIM is a fast venue, however. Perfect weather, lots of fast people, which helps, it's well organized etc. They set it up like you're at Berlin--they want runners having fast times. But I don't see the allure in terms of course profiles.. it's just ok. The rolling hills suck. I would think Houston would be a faster event, or Grandmas.
