And "sprinter" in the sense they can't go near their top speed for very long. I don't know how far they can jog or trot around, or whatever you call it, but that speed a small fraction of their maximum, unlike trained human distance runners.

Maybe some sprinters do not lift weights. Some men are big and strong, naturally. Some men in their prime did (or do) non-weight training exercises to stay fit. Eg. Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson Mike Tyson Dante Culpepper, and others. Sprinters who lift weights, specifically free weight squats, need upper body strength. Do you want to try doing free weight squats with (300 to 450) pounds on your back with a Marathoners upper body?

The point is that cheetahs are not 100m runners, so comparing their build to the build of human 100m runners doesn't make sense. A 100m runner runs for 10 seconds. A cheetah needs to be able to cover a larger distance and run for a longer amount of time. Comparing fast animals to fast human 100m runners is comparing apples to oranges because cheetahs and greyhounds aren't just trying to run fast for 10 seconds.
