The blatant insecurity in this post is amazing. Anyone using terms like "Alpha" and "Beta" in a serious fashion just sounds like a mental teenager to me. As a man who's been with all kinds of women, from supermodel gorgeous to cute and plump, I can say with certainty that there IS a correlation (at least for young women) between neuroticism and conventional "hotness." I'm mid-30s now but I notice more and more that while I'm still physically attracted to my "hot" women friends, the better I know them, the more neurotic they seem compared to women I know who are less conventionally attractive or not rail-thin. Everybody gets fat and ugly eventually. How do you think it's going to be, married to a woman who loses what she (and you, if you're as shallow as she is) perceives as her greatest attributes?

You come off as seriously insecure yourself. You also come off as someone who isn't mentally fit, or confident enough to even consider a relationship with a highly attractive woman. Youthful good looks aren't everything, that's a certainty. As you say, "Everybody gets fat and ugly eventually." I guess some of us just start out with significantly higher standards, both for ourselves and for others.

On a side note, the article itself is a complete joke. Seems like a promotional effort to convince average guys that it's a good thing to date chubby girls.

I think Ashley Graham, the fat supermodel, has a beautiful face, but man, shes got a huge lower body and cottage cheese down there. Diet and exercise maybe? She says her size runs in the family. Shes gotta be over 200 pds and have a BMI in the 40-plus range (and so are her boobs.) Shes married to a skinny little black guy she met in church.

And right, I carrying some extra lard on me but i aint shaking it in public.

Fat girls. Short guys. Both try harder and probably won't leave you because they have fewer options.

I really find this interesting so I'll respond. Maybe you didn't see the part where I described the change in my standards. Like a lot of people on here, I used to value a woman's looks more than anything else. Most of my girlfriends/hookups between high school and college were considered eights, nines, or tens (other people's words, not mine). If you don't believe me, ask someone you know who's had this experience. I have plenty of happy memories with those women--some crazy ones you wouldn't believe. But as I get older, I am literally less attracted to those types of women. Still physically attracted, sure, but in terms of long-term relationships? No way -- they are too high maintenance, constantly need reassurance, and have lived for so long relying on their looks that most of them have made major sacrifices in developing other skills or attributes, like intelligence, creativity, etc. This is why the stereotypical "valley girl" is an idiot -- she can afford to be because there will always be idiots who worship her.

Why waste time with someone who annoys you the second after you get off?

Generally the way to spot someone who's seriously insecure is that they have developed all these systems and vocabulary to rank people, and then considered themselves at the top of that arbitrary ranking pile. Who can blame them? Nobody else will do it.

Look at all these "pick up artists" who seem so desperate to score with "hot" women. They are successful because they're the same people who never got laid when they were younger, and now they've devoted their lives to manipulating women into bed. Those of us who stumbled into sleeping with beautiful women when we were younger -- because of looks or charm or whatever (in my case I think I was just good looking and didn't care enough/seemed harmless) -- get sick of it by the time we're in our mid-30s. Not here to convince anyone. It's just been my experience. I actually didn't read the article so it could be full of sh*t.

I feel lucky that I have this perspective since I am, admittedly, losing my looks as I age. But I'm very happy with the choices I make in women. I still get attention from "hot" women, but unless they're really interesting, I just smile and move on to someone I can talk to.

So these good looking girls that you rate between 8-10, you disparage because they rate people and need reassurance about their attractiveness as they age. I bet these dimwits constantly tell others how attractive they were (and still are) ......But then say but it's not important to them.
