hey thanks for the book recommendation. I read through it all and it was very helpful. I also went to a PT yesterday and was able to work with my form and was given certain things to work on to help improve it.

Instead of focusing on running X cadence at Y stride length and Z heart rate and the latest hobbyjogger gimmick, focus on getting better.

You didn't ask how to get better. Well you did but in a convoluted way.
There's plenty advice here on how to get better. Run more miles. Structure quality workouts geared towards target race distances. Take care of your body. Don't worry about stride length and cadence and don't do gimmicky exercises to target one or the other because those things will worry about themselves as you get faster.

KAV, you have no idea what you are talking about. You can't land under your body when you run, it's a physical impossibility. You're just repeating stupid stuff that people mistake for actual knowledge.
