As somebody pointed out the other day, Hillary Clinton faced eleven hours of questioning, live on national television, in the eighth(!) Benghazi investigation. Somehow no perjury accusations resulted (in addition to no finding of culpability).
As an earlier poster said: "Prosecutors will be on the hunt for any inconsistencies or contradictions between [Trump's] account and the evidence [emphasis mine]." Yeah, that's kind of the point, isn't it? Somehow HRC, with all her faults and deficiencies, didn't step into a perjury trap--Trump isn't more deficient than she was, is he?
Trump is stupid and bad at lying, hence the republicans are worried about perjury.
Especially in the early months of his presidency, he makes things up on the spot for no real reason, seemingly with the view that nobody can fact check him. He almost can't help himself.

Yeah, the problem for Trump is that he is a bullsh1ter and an interview with Mueller is where bullshi1 goes to die. And anyone who has seen one of his rallys knows his mind wanders.
To date, he's been able to say anything he wants and not have to back it up. For example, he was never pressured to disclose his source for accusing Obama of phone tapping Trump Tower.
Hillary is intelligent and was a lawyer. Even if she was lying she was capable of keeping her stories straight.

Exactly, you have to be a fool to believe any of these powerful people are telling the truth about anything, but the idiots will impeach themselves and the smart ones will wriggle out.
