by law if someone is born in the usa they are american, many mexican women in labor cross the border just before the baby is born so their kid has usa citizenship, in the military if the parents are stationed in another country, korea, germany or where ever the child still gets american citizenship. also if you have a special skill, you can become an american citizen without the normal waiting period. i believe some senators pulled some strings to help get khannouchi citizenship because of his special skill which is running. i may be wrong on this, can someone confirm or deny it. i mention by law, because that is what counts not how an indidual thinks.
