Ever heard of Pietro Mennea? When Tortu runs better than 19.72 he can claim to be fastest Italian runner ever.
Many believe Tortu is the 3rd or 4th "white" man to run sub 10, depending on if you consider Gemili white.
Regardless of color tho he may be the next great European sprinter, hes only 19 or 20 i believe and already sub 10 with room to improve in his start.

Lol. Do you know that all Europeans didn't consider one another white (or rather, worthy of the same race) a couple hundred years ago? They would insult each other to no end. Even English royalty didn't consider English serfs white. They were field rats.
Anglo-Saxons were not considered white by Poles and Italians at various points.
