The bugs here are only bad around sunset. Most of the day there is not a problem.
Seattle hardly has any flying bugs.
Try running on a rural Minnesota or Iowa gravel road surrounded by corn on a humid July late afternoon/evening. Not sure why, but bugs always seem worse around gravel roads.
