I am thinking about this a lot lately. Most of the runners I've ever gotten have been too small, but I've noticed that my favorites were the ones that I got in running shops, where the staff are literally runners, and know about running. For simplicity, lets say your perfect fit will give you a one thousand second 5k. What would the difference be if your runners are a half, full size too big/small etc. Would anyone have an idea of an estimate for this scenario? Keep all other factors equal. I'm annoyed that I have gotten some crap recently, by looking for cheaper deals in the shop. I finally went to a proper running shop, and got a gait analysis, and fitted with the right runners. I haven't done this in 3 years. I've been randomly getting different runners, but I have a habit of getting them too small. It is more expensive to go to a proper shop for your runners, but worth it in the long run I guess. I'm looking forward to seeing how my next race is in comparison to the crap I've been running these days. Thanks.
You post the stupidest threads on these boards. Are you like 15 or 69 because you surely love to hear yourself talk.
How the hell is this a stupid thread idea. The size of your runners is something important to think about before you buy them. The point of the thread is to assess/discuss how you will perform in a race, with the wrong sizes. Why wouldn't this be useful on a running forum.
When I first read this post I thought the poster was a track coach and selecting members for his team. It would be cool if coaches could have a draft for the kids coming into high school. I would take the 100 pound freshmen for distance and pick up some 150 pound guys for the 800 meters for my runners.
A runner is another word for a running shoe. This point was explained by someone else above.
This is like the 20th thread where you have you told people "dont quit your day job, comedy is not for you". Hey banana bread...you dont get humor. You have no idea whats funny.
You know what, I give up, I'm not even going to bother arguing with someone I've never met, and never will meet. I'm only going to reply to posts I find useful or interesting. I'm tired of all this. One thing is for certain though, if Bekele ever visited Letsrun, he would think all these arguments are funny(in a bad way), and he would never come back here.
Come back when you’ve mastered Rngligh and we’ll give you a proper reply.

You are literally littering this thread.
