Too high-level of an argument for common consumption. I wasn't going that far; however, I did indeed point out that a simple model (a best-fit curve) wasn't accurate and therefore shouldn't be relied upon, and gave reasons for that. Just because I didn't touch upon chaos theory directly doesn't mean I didn't go far enough for the unscientifically-inclined to be satisfied with my reasoning.
