Who's bragging in this thread? These seem like pretty impressive accomplishments. Some people thrive on never mssing a day. That being said, I need days off from time to time.

Running when you need a day off is not impressive, it is stupid. If people want to run with injuries and fatigue that should keep them off (and EVERYONE encounters such days) let them. But to treat it as if it's some sort of accomplishment is stupid. Ron Hill ran on a broken leg, as I recall. There's an "achievement" for you.
You want an accomplishment? Run fast.
Its an accomplishment that shows dedication to a purpose--to get fullfillment(sp?) out of running. Lumping running fast with a streak is a combination of accomplishments. To say that having a streak is not an accomplishment is not acknowledging the hard work and dedication that it took to achieve the streak. You can run fast and have a streak. Some people dont need to be "known" for running fast to feel like they have accomplished something. You can "have days off for rest" with a streak, because if you normally do 70 miles a week, then one or two miles on a given day is a day off. Some people need to take the whole day to recover, some dont. So before you go ripping people for what they have or have not accomplished, take into account that different people have different goals and strive to do different things. Running fast might be one of them. Having a streak might be one of them. Running 10 miles a day might be another.
So let people have their sense of accomplishment, they have earned it.
68 days with the shortest run being my 5 mile recovery run (and the smallest week at 72 miles during that stretch).
A bit ironic because it was from the end of October until early January, which is typically when I HATE running the most.
Normally I'm very anti-streak and usually take days off to intentionally avoid having them. And I've read things where guys run on their honeymoons in the rain or something for like 10 min's ..or a 1/2 mile on a broken leg to keep their streak alive. I don't think those count.
Two - yesterday and today
