Who are these idiots who think a college degree from OU isn't worth anything? A degree from almost any institution opens more doors than you can imagine. I work HR in a state agency. We hired 41 people last year. 33 of those positions required a college degree to even look at your application and resume. All 41 hires had college degrees.
Now, I agree that the ROI on your degree might suck, but try living on a h.s. degree.

This is one of the dumbest thing I've ever read. A bachelors may not hold the weight it once did, but it's very hard to find a company that will hire you without at least that as a basic qualification. In her case, she must have no desire to ever actually work. It seems like the game plan is to be a mediocre pro for 5 years and marry someone with money. If that's not the game plan, then she's just a total idiot because who would hire someone in their mid to late 20s with zero experience and just a high school diploma? What is her career path, hostess at Red Lobster?

She knows how to use her talent and attractiveness to build a social media following. I just looked up the Instagram following for Tori Bowie, Deajah Stevens, and Ariana Washington, probably the best three female American sprinters right now, and Cunliffe has more than each of them.
She is white, fast, hot, and understands the social media marketing game. That right there is a golden marketing opportunity in the world of track and field. Mix that with her above average talent, and there is your contract opportunity right there.

Went down a Cunliffe instagram rabbithole yesterday and found out her brother plays hoops for KU (transferred from a Pac12 school, must be in the blood) and she has a whole lot of attractive family members. How many kids are in that family??
Her mom is pretty hot and her dad is apparently a HS coach who actually looks like a cool dude.
Here is my question- where are they from and what is the story? It looks like there are 7-8 kids and they appear to live a somewhat lavish lifestyle. Is her dad a teacher and coach? Don’t they live in SoCal?
This family is pretty damn interesting. At least two extremely athletic kids who are attractive as hell and probably rich.
Bachelor's degrees are not useless. You still have a vast disparity in employment and lifetime earnings between those with the degree and those without it. This is a case where there was probably an eligibility issue. She hadn't competed yet this season, had she? At any rate, there are no outdoor championships this year and if she was a senior, there was just a semester left and she would make more money as a pro, by far, if she left Oregon with some individual national titles and a team one. She'd also have a much greater shot at future jobs at Nike. When you shift schools frequently in high school and you transfer in college (wasn't a good fit in the first place at Oklahoma or Oklahoma State), then odds of continuing to leave places are high. Still a very good talent but not a huge shot of winning so many pro titles as to make up for what will now be a much depressed initial pro contract.
World Indoors 2018 is coming up and maybe the calculation here is that her best event is the 60m, competition at World Indoors is always relatively weak, and this is her best shot at a World gold.
A couple thoughts on this:
1) With all due respect, transferring is the Cunliffe family game. Sam Cunliffe played high school basketball for at least three different high schools, and transferred from Arizona State to Kansas after just 10 games his freshman season (his stated reason for that had to do with being a part of a program in contention for the national championship, which means that he guessed wrong ;) ). Hannah transferred as well, from Oklahoma to Oregon. This is not a knock on this strategy (I for one believe transfers should be relatively unrestricted in both HS and NCAA sports), but it does point to a pattern which this most recent move may have come out of.
2) Hannah Cunliffe is a marketable athlete. She comes from a Brady Bunch type family which appears to place great emphasis on faith. Her dad is actually a really great personality as well. Additionally, she is pretty attractive. A quick scan of Nike's women's track athletes reveals that in fact none of them could be considered unattractive by a majority of the population.
3) Although she is a senior eligibility-wise this is no definite indication of her progress level towards a bachelor's degree. She could be either ahead of or behind the traditional 4 year timeline which is usually required to earn one. The scholarship argument others have been making here is a flimsy one at best because even a very small pro contract would likely be enough to cover a couple semesters of school if that becomes relevant later.
4) She's an NCAA champion and has consistently posted top performances in both her prep and collegiate career. Stop acting like she can't run.
Doesn't she have dual citizenship with Italy somehow?
She has struggled with injuries the last couple of years. This has to undercut her market value as an athlete.

This is a good reference. She is a lot like prandini, the great white hope. Difference is cunliffe plays into societies current Trends of using sexuality and a non-chalant attitude towards her craft while still boastering her talent level higher than it actually is. This is how you make money. Prandini will have to rely on metals and records to achieve same financial success.
Cunliffe is like holt where as prandini is More like Gatlin.
I think they will each have a lane (no pun intented) as I see cunliffe as more of a 100 specialist and prandini more of a 200 runner who could potentially move up to 400.
Head to head id put my money on prandini. Would rather smash cunliffe though. And as far as marry, prandini all the way. You can’t turn a thot into a wife or you can and have a huge headache on your hands
