In IC, here. And I agree on the outdoor assessment. I was wondering what you were looking for given your initial post. It wasn't quite clear. But yeah, no oceans or mountains. There are some lakes (dam produced) right in town basically, and bigger spring lakes up north in the state.
But we have good paths and parks and a thriving outdoor/endurance community. Tons of runners and cyclists (lots of new singletrack being built every year, and in the fall we host a UCI Cyclocross race).
Still, like I said, a mountain is he thing that is missing for me. If I could plop down a 5,000 foot peak just south of town, this would be the best city in the US.
