Would have loved to see Jenkins in the final but he ran stupid. When he wasn't boxed in he was wasting energy flying up the outside in lane 5!
It's a fact that he was impeded. It may have been unintentional, and hence, allow him into the final. It was at a key moment. Jenkins did not do much after that point--was he affected badly by it? He didn't have his usual kick. Too bad.

The appeal was legit even if it as denied. Not much to lose in filing it. I am pretty sure USATF would have done it if the guy was wearing Hokas.

FTR, only USATF can plead a case to the IAAF, not NOP. Also, they are not trying to get another athlete DQed. With that said, I think Jenkins current results should stand.

Completely unrelated, but how is China so bad a track and field. I know it's not a part of their countries culture, but still, you'd expect them to have someone entered in every event since they have 18% of the world's population.

I didnt watxh it until i saw this thread. I was expecting something a lot more. Sure, someone tripped in front of him and it wasnt ideal, but it was not the reason he didnt advance..... at all.
There is a difference between trying to get into a final and trying to get a medal by dqing someone else. Also Salazar isn't even in London

Meanwhile, Jenkins progress was clearly impeded by an athlete jumping out in front of him and he missed making the final by what, less than a second? Watch the tape. Even the tv commentators mentioned it. The iaaf got this one wrong. It's clear as day that his progress was impeded. But I'm starting to think there is a little home cooking going on. The Brits are getting away with anything they want, while the USA appeals are being turned down, athletes getting flagged and USA athletes getting booed.
If you're not Bolt, Farah, Muir or WV, you better not fall, get impeded or get a little sick. This whole meet has turned into fiasco.
