Scott Simmons' Group Had a Plan to Surge And Talk in Swahili During Race

Distance runners tend to come from middle to upper middle class families. This is not the target market that tends to join the military. Of course there are exceptions. The WCAP program for distance running is pointless as a recruiting tool other than East Africans looking to find a loophole. Kenyans are known to switch nationalities so don't give me this BS that a 5 foot 100 lb Kenyan's real intention is because he found the calling to serve this country.

Lucky for them they might just have a chance to serve sooner rather later in real combat with this administration. Let's see how successful Mr Simmons is in recruiting Kenyans then.

They are marketing toward a target audience. Young folks involved in sports make better recruits than fat out of shape kids that spend their time in front of the TV.

Although if the past few years are any indication, the US will be on al-Shabaab's side instead, at least secretly. Probably already is.

WCAP is a great program for the ARMY to get healthy athletes to at least have a conversation with a recruiter. I don't care where someone is from as long as they are willing to fight by my side. These athletes know if all hell breaks loose they will go back to their military job. They choose to run for the Army knowing they could be deployed.
