Good question.Here is your answer.I was wearing a watch to time my splits.The watch was accurate to the second.Having said this, it was at about mile 15 where the hard San Diego pavement was taking a toll and in would need to walk some to finish.Mile 15 is where the pure running stopped.Knowing I can be only 10 minutes away from BQ pace at this point influences future training.That is whyI could have also mentioned my 2:57:32 at mile 20, because it was a PR at that point by 53 minutes, but nah.It all makes sense to me.You can bray to the choir.
