My advice is to not put too much weight on needing your legs to feel snappy for a race. Sometimes you'll feel that way, sometimes you won't, that's just how it is. I have still had very good races and PR's on non-snappy feeling legs. The more mentally okay you are with being able to race while not feeling 100% perfect, the better runner you will be.
