I can't believe people are even taking this seriously. If a Kenyan or Ethiopian man of comparable ability to the Robertsons made claims like this, he would be roundly laughed at.

i know. they run well at half marathon, but they haven't show any ability that they can run a good 10k. Didn't one of the brothers drop out at payton jordan?

What happened to Jake at Payton Jordan? He posted about it beforehand on twitter, then dropped out and never even mentioned why.
I'm a kiwi and I follow the Robertson's with interest. I hope they do break through. But at this stage it's just big talk. They're not at Farah's level - they're 27:33 and 27:45 10k runners.
I don't know who I dislike more, those back-stabbing twins or slow-mo..

Even if they hang on for 5k they will still have made the pace fast enough so that someone else can take him down
I don't think it will happen. Whatever the pace is set Mo will be comfortably drafting and after dropping 52-53 second last lap there wont be anyone close to him
Definitely have adopted the positive Kenyan mindset. It's great to believe in yourself, but the Robertson brothers are the equivalent of "pretty good" Kenyans who go out with the leaders because they believe they can win even though their fitness indicates they have no shot.

The difference is that the Robersons have a chance of being in the race and being able to take it out for 8k before blowing up. A kenyan of comparable ability is finishing like 15th at the trials and watching the race on tv
No mention of why Jake dropped out of the Payton 10,000, pulling up sharply and limping off the track with about 2k to go. Does anybody know anything about this? Looked a bit like he tore his hamstring.
In fairness, he was looking very strong before that.

Eh.. They lived in Kenya for long enough..but I see what you mean. They kinda seem like white cracker boys. That being said, white cracker boys don't really fit in anywhere—maybe part of the reason they moved to Kenya. They are as much Kenyan as anything else. To be honest, I think you are just being mean.
