both USA and Jamaica get it around smoothly in 4x2 (looked a bit conservative, but with 9 teams and 6 advancing there was no need to be aggressive). Germany surprised me, I knew they were solid but they pushed USA all the way to the line (and were actually in the lead with about 50-75m to go).

The Bahamas will be the host of these relays again in 2019.. It is a cool atmosphere and impressive facilities. It is hard to imagine a better host at this time of year.
I hope they bring back the DMR for 2019.

at the end of all the gibberish, hit the enter key and paste

Price got out to a good lead, Williams was passed by Australia and handed off in 2nd. Roesler sat on the Aussie until 300 to go then took off. 2015 World champ Marina Arzamasova tried to make up ground on Lipsey on anchor but ran out of steam at the bell. Lipsey cruised home FTW.
Not a very competitive race. USA ran 8:00.62 to win in 2015 (8:16.36 would have been 7th in that race). USA ran 8:01.58 to win in 2014.
What I have seen thus far puts the nail in the coffin of this competition - most everybody seems to be sending the "B" team (except the Asians?).
