I just went to Walmart for the first time and wow I'm disgusted

I've never actually been in a Wal-Mart but they have great parking lots. I have slept in my car in Wal-Mart parking lots all across the United states.

I'm sitting here eating a meal predominantly purchased from Walmart:

Caesar's salad with fresh Romaine lettuce: $2.50 for 10 oz package

Boneless center-cut pork chops: $3.48/lb

mmm, mmm, good!!!

The prices are awesome. I could go on and on about the great purchases of quality food I've made there. Great for pet food as well.

But yeah, there are a lot of big-'uns in there. Sometimes I wonder if anyone besides me is buying the healthy stuff.

Who goes to stores to buy things anymore other then fresh produce/proteins. I can understand people on foodstamps but thats about it. Everything can be purchased with better selection, better prices, and with avoidance of the hell that is your local zoo...or Walmart, whatever its called.

I understand that this whole thread (I am classy) is a troll but it does have some merit.

The debate is simple. Some people shop for price vs. some people shop for the experience.

If you shop for price then nothing else matters. Walmart makes sense as does mail order.

Others see shopping as an experience and are willing to pay for that experience and places like Walmart do not provide that. The same reason that they will pay $75 for a steak at an expensive steak house.

There is room for both and neither understands the other side.

I know you can dig up a lot of "dirt" on pork if you look for it, but lean cuts like I eat (tenderloin) have plenty of support from nutrition experts as a healthy food when consumed in moderation:
