Ran with a group where one guy raced there from work. He had not worries about dropping his pants and putting his shorts on over his tighty underwear.
One time one of the women runners asked me about the odd color of underwear, "what color are those?" I said, "used to be white." She gagged, instantly understanding how they got the color they did.
His underwear had turned to a brownish-grey which means protein and sweat stained. Stains from not washing for an unbelievably long time, made worse by wearing the underpants for running.
