In all seriousness, you don't think this kind of thing has an impact on impressionable minds? People's lives have been ruined by this crap. It's not funny.

We can sit here and act like it is all fun and games, but when the Internet comes after you, they want offline blood.

On one hand, it is nice to see someone other than a straight white male get mislabeled as bigoted.

On the other hand, it is scary to think that there are apparently people out there who think this way, who I would have assumed just had it out for the straight white males. (I say "apparently" because I have a hunch that, at least in its infancy, those accusations were attempts to be ironic from anti-SJWs.)

Yes, people get fired for making a simple tweet that get misunderstood, they get threats to themselves and their families. It's one thing if you are a celebrity, but when it happens to regular people it can have terrible consequences.

Here is the unfortunate side of this whole thing:

Before I explain, I want to clearly state that our world has WAY TOO MUCH racism, so I am not trying to say that we are post-racism or anywhere close to that.

The Mainstream Media and the consumers of Mainstream Media are going to stop trying to include Black people for fear of some kind of unseen and unintended offense. Ellen was clearly trying to include Bolt in one of her jokes. It was complementary of him, and I am sure he loved it. Ellen was the butt of the joke, not Bolt. But if she can't even do something complimentary, she is clearly not going to be able to make a innocent joke at his expense (like she does to so many other celebs that she likes). She'll be more careful next time she wants to include a Black person in a joke. So will other comedians and members of the media. This will ultimately hurt Black artists, athletes, actors, business people, etc.

Imagine if your crew of friends had a girl or guy that cried and moaned any time someone joked with him. Pretty soon people would just kind of ignore him.

This attitude is going to end up hurting everyone. I am not saying that you don't call out someone who is truly racist, but let's stop with the witch hunts over clearly innocent statements and gestures.

At some point, someone needs to go punk rock on the SJWs and just say, "Yeah, I said it. So what?"
