I'm not disagreeing, but that race was dead slow from the start. It would have been a miracle if it ended up with a PR for any of the top runners.
Personally I thought Dibaba panicked and went way too early. She should have held it back until the last possible moment.

Why did she let it go out in 76 seconds? She would have taken the gold if she took it out in 62-63, or at least 65 and then upped the pace from there. A 76 second opening completely defeats the point of the distance. It's no longer a 1500 race at that point. That would be like if the men's 1500 went out in 70
