He's going to beat me. I let him down. I deserve it. I deserve to get beaten. I hate this.
Thanks. That makes me feel better. I'm still very scared of my advisor, but those kids can go eff themselves.

Buddy, if your advisor is a good scientist, he won't give a rats a$$ about one of his students failing to win a poster prize. His focus will be on, you know, doing good science: publishing meaningful results that will advance his (and your) field of study. That's hard work and doesn't much leave time and energy for fretting over prizes in undergrad/grad conference competitions.
If he isn't a good scientist, you should think about finding a better advisor.
No he's just had a different one win it each year.
