OK I'll answer a few questions.

You are correct. I should have said MSNBC instead of CNN. My point still stands that people nowadays only get the info they want to hear.

My #1 complaint about modern day politics is the gerrymandered districts. There are totally red and totally blue districts. That's not the way America was supposed to work. Ours system was designed for compromise, not absolute rule by one party. The whole checks and balances thing. Now we are trying to circumvent that by having districts of one party rule. It totally negates a congressman's incentive to compromise or see the other side of an argument because if they do , they might not get reelected.

Please show me where after the primaries that either Bush has said that Trump is unfit to be president.

As for my own opinion, this has nothing to do with me. I'm trying to make the point that interesting people endorse all sorts of candidates. The idea that everyone who votes for one candidate is good and smart and everyone who votes for another is bad and evil is absurd.

I only started this thread because the OP of the other thread acted like any and all Muslim-Americans needed to be voting for Hillary. I pointed out, "That's not true. Look, here is Barack Obama's brother - he's a muslim - and even he's not doing it."

I am raising an intellectual argument. My personal opinion has nothing to dow with it.

When Gay marriage was supported by less than 50% of the voters, (39%) in 2008, Hillary was against it.

By 2013 when Hillary embraced it, it was up to 50%....'

It goes on and on: Mass Immigration, Universal HealthCare, Bankruptcy Bill, War in Iraq.

All things she was either for or Against, then flip flopped as soon as Poll Numbers went the other way on an Issue.

I don't care about this election at all. I am a fan of distance running, and track and field. What the hell does any of this have to do with these sports? There are countless sites where people can rant about politics 24/7, and hardly any sites where there is even half a chance of reading about and discussing these sports. What a disappointment.

Agree with the previous post about Kenyan culture. Africa in general is at best a very patriarchal society, at worst totally misogynist. it is not really surprising that Obama's half brother who has spent most of his life living in rural Kenya would prefer Donald Trump to a female candidate for president despite the anti-Muslim rhetoric. Plus, E. African Muslims are not very friendly with Middle Eastern Muslims. A lot of Middle Eastern Muslims are very discriminatory against African Muslims and there are many incidents of African Muslims being abused and mistreated when they go to the Middle East for work. It is not surprising to see an African Muslim agree with anti-Muslim rhetoric that is clearly directed at Middle Eastern Muslims who are by and large the main source of Islamic radicals. Finally, Malik Obama has not really made any particular political point in endorsing Trump, other than to draw attention to what is probably a personal falling out with his half-brother. Khizir Khan's endorsement of Clinton is not in and of itself a big deal. There are plenty of Muslims and veterans who have endorsed Clinton. Khan's point is that Trump's proposal to ban Muslims (and later people from countries that have terrorists) immigration/travel violates the constitution. That point is driven home by the fact that Muslims like his son fight and die to defend the United States and should not be arbitrarily excluded from this country just to appeal to talk radio bigots and make people feel like they are going to be saved from terrorism by violating the constitution.

My response: Obamas brother is an idiot. Not all people in a family with smart and successful people are smart or successful.

So.....she's following and listening to what the polls show....which means she's listening to the American people who were polled? Which means the American people are getting what they want? How is this bad? Maybe if more politicians paid attention to the polls and let the American people dictate more of the day to day choices, not the empty election promises, we'd be better off.

Why does this even matter? Are people from the same family not allowed to have differences of opinion? The fact that someone disagrees with a family member doesn't make their stance correct or incorrect. This isn't even close to being on the same level of importance as the other thread that was posted earlier for trump fans to respond to.
