People have been murdering all over the world for centuries.
Obama has kept American deaths from RADICAL TERROR!!!! lower than deaths from lightning strikes.
The amount of time people spend thinking about something so insignificant to their life is absurd. Imagine all that energy was spent on retraining or getting a college degree, or doing some productive activity to contribute to the economy.

So, it strikes me as possible that he was objecting to bigotry and hatred directed at Muslims in general.
Certainly (nearly) everyone on these boards is in agreement that individuals and organizations that promote and carry out such atrocities deserve zero respect (among other things). But extending such disdain (and more) to all Muslims is to make the logical (and dangerous) flaw of 'guilt by association'.

Technically, the statement is correct. What lies behind the words is what may be in question.
One can say many correct things about any group of people. Sometimes such correct statements are made without bigotry and hatred behind them. Sometimes the opposite is true. Sometimes such correct statements are part of the solution. Sometimes they are part of the problem.
I do not claim to speak for anyone on here aside from myself. Not the individual who posted "Fraternitie', egalitie',libertie' not big priorities for The Prophet." nor the individual who posted "Good Lord the bigotry and hatefulness on this board makes me want to throw up." which may or may not have been meant as a response to the post that I cited.
I only hope that clear thinking, truth and love for humanity will prevail.
Here's the beginning of the solution. President Obama should hold a press conference while standing in front of a white board. He should pick up a marker and draw a picture of Mohammed on a pigs body, and then turn to the camera and say:
"It's time for Muslims to stop targeting innocent defenseless people. Any Muslim who is offended by this image of Mohammed can pick a fight with me and my army, you gutless cowards. Come get me! Bring it on!"
That's what I would do if I were president. I would intentionally bring the heat on myself. No would call out all Muslims on this issue. I would insult them and troll them in every way I could and set up government run traps to offend Muslims and then be ready to kill any Muslim who shows up with bad intent. If they can't handle free speech then they are unfit for a civil society. He insulted Tea Party people and we didn't go around killing people.
that would go a long way toward fixing this problem.
