So she wants the transgender athlete to compete with men because they are better then women. Then she will be the first to whine and complain if women are paid less prize money than men (despite the fact that she admits they are better At their job than she is). What a crazy world we live in

Spot on! I agree 100%. Not 110% because that would be impossible.

Shannon is 100% correct. She should not have to run against what is, for all intents and purposes, a man. Having that genetic whatever it is that Semenya possesses is no different than running with drugs in your system. Run clean. Run gender clean.

Flesh is more important than chemicals? If a human being meets the chemical levels of a woman, than what matters what flesh is on their body, one ear or two? I am a trans runner and I am a woman. Ignorance will never compensate for heart and the fight of the abused against the abusers. I look forward to being respected as the woman. I want to matter too Shannon.

Instead of female runners whinging about how unfair it is that they have to compete against her, they should all be taking this as a reminder of how incredibly fortunate they are that society has chosen to segregate sport (and almost no other facet of human life) down gender lines at all.

We segregate down gender lines because we contend that males are so much better than females in physical tests that it would be 'unfair' to lump them together. Yet we then reward the inferior group equally.

I've seen your posts on threads like these, you are the best. If a guy had said this everyone would be clamoring in agreement, making fun of Semenya even more, etc.

Let me start by saying that I am NOT a fan of "anyone and everyone" being allowed in women's competitions and that it is definitely an area that needs attention in the sport.

However, where do you draw the line and why did you draw it there?

Women with higher natural testosterone levels tend to be much better in athletics. There is a reason that this is a major PED. Why should we tell athlete A she is okay, but athlete B, with a small amount more natural testosterone, you are out? Again, where is that line?

I understand the hermaphrodite issue and agree it should be banned, but the whole issue is cloudier than I wish it were.
