Good analogy... I have a pair of cubato on the way. Not the T3 but a start.

I don't think the T3s have enough padding for a marathon, although I have worn them for a half and they worked fine for that.
I just ran Houston in the new version of the Burn -- a lightweight trainer. I thought they were great as a marathon-distance racing flat. The previous version of the Burn gave me a lot of problems along the instep seam. But the new version is built differently and didn't give me any blister problems.
Best of luck.
You can run in your bare feet if you're efficient/strong enough.
If you are a heel-to-toe striker, T3's are just not enough shoe for a marathon. I'd argue that they might not be enough for a 1/2 either, but thats just me. I don't train in flats but I'm sure if you are used to such forefoot impact, you could run a marathon in Mayfly's and be fine.
I am a heel striker (of course, the faster I go, the more it moves forward) and I train in modified track spikes.
It's always a guessing game, I suppose. The Brooks were fine in the half, but I'm still a bit worried for the full. I was looking at the Asics Magic Racer and the Saucony Fast twitch as other options. They have a bit more weight, but they at least look more substantial. The problem is that I have to order them through mail because there are no running stores around here. As someone previously said, I'll just have to figure it out.
Thanks for all the input.
