Doesn't that sound better? Like, work hard and reap the benefits? Positive instead of punitive?
You would have to adjust the percentages, but yes. I would rather have athletes be rewarded for things other than being punished for not doing very specific things. Of course the base pay would be something ridiculous like $10,000 and we would still be up in arms.
