Meso, endo, and ecto are just generalizations for different body types. As a former body builder I'm definitely the meso type. We would refer to ectos as "hard-gainers." I can put on muscle mass quickly and easily but it's difficult for me to lose it. I would think the mesomorphic body type would be less successful as the race distance increased. My best race is the mile and I suck at anything over a 5K.

So they do exist.
Mesomorphs don't exist. The OP asked for guys over 140lbs. Thanks.

140 lbs? Not since 5th grade, lol. I am getting bigger each year. Once I left the 200 mark behind and gained more and more muscle, women started to throw themselves at me.

No he didn't. Try reading the question again and don't get hung up on the typo.
Thanks.

The question was can a mesomorph make an elite distance runner, and the answer is no. Mesomorphs don't exist and you can't be an elite runner if you don't exist.

But he said "to answer your question" and then gave a name of a guy who exists.

Let me guess, you don't believe black people exist either? It's just a trick of the light messing with our vision?

Since mesomorphs don't exist I gave the OP the benefit of the doubt and took it to mean people over 140lbs; it's called an inference.

Do you get a kick out of responding to the same post twice? Mesomorphs don't exist. Sorry to be the one to inform you that they don't.

Know how I know you guys are mesomorphs wishing you were also an anomaly?

How could I be a mesomorph, if they don't exist? How is this so hard for you to grasp?

Hey, I'm a mesomorph too! It's not that bad once you come to terms with not being an elite distance runner. Let's face it, the odds are stacked against us, bro.
Embrace it. The chicks dig a mesomorph. You're probably good at other athletic pursuits.

Just embrace the fact that mesomorphs don't exist. If they did exist, a mesomorph would be a fine thing to be. But they don't. Sorry.

I'm right here though, in my textbook mesomorph form! It is a fine thing.
Maybe you are actually an endomorph?

They don't exist. My horse looks like a textbook unicorn, but those don't exist either.

Is the horn real and the hooves cloven? That's how you can tell the real unicorns.
All of my mesomorph attributes check out as legit.

Except that you exist, an attribute explicitly contradictory to mesomorphs.
So body types don't exist? A gymnast looks like a Victoria's Secret model to you?
Why are people so against names and categories?
I'm sure there is a name for that disorder.
