If a black teacher can have braids, a redskin teacher can have a mohawk.
The o.p. was right in the fact that whether or not a professor has a c.d.i.b. could very well determine whether he is legally allowed to have a mohawk. If he does have a c.d.i.b., the university can not hold that against him during the hiring process, and they could not fire him because of it.
