Back in the mid 70's Bruetting also made a Lydiard racing flat and a track shoe. Great shoes.

When I met Arthur for the first time in 1977 he was pushing those EB shoes as the "finest running shoes made anywhere."
The last time I saw him I asked what had happened to his arrangement with Bruetting and he told me that the German reputation for efficiency was not always deserved and that there were many problems with delivery of the shoes to customers. So I don't know what the chances are of getting a pair shipped here these days.
I had a pair of these during the 1972 X-country season. Beige somewhat stippled leather with a red leather diamond (I believe on both sides), with foxing all around the midsole and outsole. They were comparable to a slightly more heavily constructed Adidas Mexicana, and were priced about the same--under $30.
Mizuno Supersonic:
HRE,
How do the Limber Up's size? I wear 9's in NB and 9.5's in Mizuno.
Thanks.

I don't know much about Mizunos. I take a 9 with the Limber Up a 9 1/2 with the Asics Gel Paw, a 9 1/2 with the Adidas Cubota, a 9 1/2 with the NB 240 and a 10 with the NB RC150.
I think the Limber Up runs a little big. E.g., in most shoes, even where a 9 is my proper size, I can wear a 9 1/2 and not erally feel like I'm swimming in the shoe. With the Limber Up, a 9 1/2 feels like I've got way too much leftover room. So I'd get a 9 if I were you.
Hope that helps.
Thanks. I find NB has the biggest differences in sizes between models, it's crazy. 9 sounds about right for me, but I'll probably go try on some Gel Paws and extrapolate from what you've said. Thanks again.
