I can not help but notice that a few names are gone from the original list posted. I also am wondering if Huddle is going to run at this race or scratch? Any insights? Anybody know if this is a final list or if the runners have until a certain date to scratch?

I am planning to go to New Haven to run this race. I am booking a room at the Marriott. Great places to see or eat?

So of the champions, Gotcher, Abdi, Teg, Girma, Huddle, Bawcom and Russell are all returning.

What are the odds for a repeat winner?

I say Girma isn't in the top 5. I say Huddle is a lock for women.

Really hard to see Ward finishing ahead of Ritz.

Women, I see Huddle, if she shows, with Cragg, Welling, Scherf, Russell, Bawcom

The course is fast and flat but its usually in the 80s at start, and the humidity has been oppressive the last several years. Hopefully that changes this year

But the weather forecast for NH is in the 80's as a high for race day, and the race starts at 8:40? I'm thinking it'll still be in the 60's, and the humidity is expected to be in the low 60%. Plus they no longer go the entire stretch of one long straight from 2 to 6 and then along the windy water. That's all cut out.

I'm expecting a sub 59:30 and under 1:07 to win respectively

Wasn't there a great pic in this race last year where a really fat girl jumped in the men's lead pack and got her picture in the paper?

You could take a few minutes to see how the temps are typically around 75 degrees at 8:40 am on days with the highs predicted to be in the low to mid 80's. It will be a bit toasty by the time the race even starts.
