She loses all credibility when she claims that they don't want minorities on their program. Bile, White, and Southerland are some of their top runners. If your a top D1 program any coach would accept any athlete that can help their program regardless of race. Also, it takes under 5 minutes of looking at results to discover that they are a distance team.
It's pretty obvious that GT was not the right choice and if I were her I would stop trying to stir up controversy and move on. All she's doing is wasting everyone's time, herself most of all.

It sounds like she doesn't get along well with her teammates, she is basically near fisticuffs with the coach, feels as thought the facilities and equipment do not serve her well and apparently the style of training is not right for her body.
I would say that those are pretty good reasons. I actually feel sorry for this woman but her situation is not unique. I went to a D1 school and had a handful of teammates in similar circumstances. Some left and thrived elsewhere while others suffered through the four years and were basically miserable the whole time.
She isn't having her scholarship yanked, so I am not sure what the issue is here. Playing a D1 sport is absolutely not a right. It is a privilege.
Her avenue of complaining is unacceptable and it will haunt her forever. It is childish and backstabbing. It is linked to her name on Google forever.
For the record, I don't give a flip about Georgetown. The only connection I have with the school is that I raced them often in college and lived in DC for a few years after graduating, so I know what the campus looks like.
I will say this, though...
Her actual blog post does not throw down the race card quite as hard as the post here on LRC, so keep that in mind.
Also, do we know that she actually created this blog post? It could have been someone else.
She writes rather poorly for a Junior at a tier-1 university.
The tl;dr is:
1) she feels entitled to be on the team
2) she got injured and didn't get along well with the coach
3) every commonplace unfortunate thing that happens to her is caused by someone "out to get her" because she is a minority.
I agree with the latter part of your post--this was a poor forum for her to air her grievances and I, too, suspect she'll regret doing this. That is exactly what I was wondering, too. She brings up things like being asked if she speaks Ebonics by a teammate and then the excessive apologies that she felt she needed to give. It just seems like she has issues with her teammates, too, not just the coach.

She had stress fracture(s?) in high school. Might she have been injured in any D1 program and met with a similarly unsympathetic coach?On the other hand, it's important to recognize that a coach may well NOT be a racist, but still be a jerk. Pretty sure with the pressures on coaches these days they're not interested in color--it's results that matter.

Yeah, to be clear, I was not trying to blame Georgetown for any of this. You can have a phenomenal athlete and a phenomenal school and they just might not mesh. That doesn't mean either is necessarily bad. If Georgetown was not a good choice for her, that does not mean there is anything wrong with Georgetown. Some people thrive in environments where others flounder, and vice versa. It's just life.

When I was in graduate school (finishing up eligibility), I remember a black thrower called out the racism card against the women's head coach after she claimed that she was wrongfully kicked off the team. The black thrower tried to sue the school for the remainder of the athletic scholarship, but in the process, other black athletes stepped forward to call out the whole program against racism and double standards.
I knew the black thrower - she had a bad attitude and was rather arrogant. I knew the coach too - she did not tolerate bad attitudes, laziness, lateness, or skipping practices. But the head coach worked directly more with the distance runners rather than the throwers, so I'm not sure how she got her perception of the thrower other than from general warm ups or from the throwing coach. In the end, that thrower transferred and continued to compete, the coaching staff stayed the same, and to my knowledge, no lawsuit was ever really filed.
Based on the details given, I think I was on that team (middle of the road to lower end of the A-10). The throws coach was new and the thrower who stirred up all of the s*** was bitter that her old coach was let go from the staff. The kid showed up about once a week (usually late), didn't follow the training plans, and was eventually dismissed from the team by Thanksgiving.
If you are not willing to work within the system that your coaches put in place to help the team be successful, you need to find another coach with another system. Cut your losses and move on.

When you title your blog post "You're Black, don't be a P****", you have set the stage for a race card argument even if you don't bring out much racism in your post.
Also, don't know if she is going to increase that type of allegation in her Part 2.
