I"m so sick of this BS. The whole point of racing and competing is to see who is faster naturally by genetics. An ELITE athlete should be ELITE because they are genetically gifted, not because they are on a bunch of TUE's that keeps them healthy and gives them an advantage. If you have Asthma and have Thyroid problems then your not an F'ing ELITE athlete.
I didn't know that racing was simply a decision based solely on who won in the genetic department.
Silly me, thinking that there was a component like hard work involved, which allows those less genetically gifted to overtake others in the spirit of sport.
Of course, TUEs, when used properly, are nothing more than a sham to allow the sickly and less fortunate compete with other people who are not born with a genetic problem they have no control over.
In other words, only genetically superior may race. Sorry if you have some other issue that can be addressed with a proper TUE and not an abuse of the system.
I agree that we should also ban the following:
- corrective lenses for those who cannot see like an Elite athlete naturally
- insulin for those with Diabetes Type 1
- surgery for those who were stupid enough to suffer from a torn ligament or some other such nonsense - elite athletes never get injured and do not need surgery they heal on their own anyways
I understand this is a short list, so I ask for others to support me in saying that genetics is the only thing that matters and that those who work hard and just want a level playing field for being unlucky enough to have an issue that can be remedied without giving an unfair advantage by using a properly granted TUE are not and cannot be elite athletes.
