doing heavy workouts almost every day is not healthy, it will get you INJURED in the long run... no pun intended.
I was the same way, i did around 2:30 8, 1:05 4, 12:12 32, and like 6:03 16(don't even wanna go there; i'm a HORRIBLE miler).
But i got injured for cross with a stress fracture and took off the whole fall. So, ever since then I became big on cross training . Oh and btw, my coach is very good with training us, coached FL kids, etc... but it would help to have a good coach. I'm not saying he's not but idk him and that training schedule is BS.
I've seen multiple improvements since a winter return to training, I hope to see my 3200 break 10:40 which is possible .
I've did this by CROSS TRAINING. Work this into your running (go light since it's during the season, but not too light, you want benefits). I've limited mine to 2 days/week of swimming(if you have access), every other day arms/ab work, and 3 days/week of biking for like an hour each session. It really depends on how much I'm running that week... Good luck! Hope this helps!
