I used to run with Tom Scott at Ashland University, Division II school in Ohio.
Tom was a several time DII All American in the 800 in college. He now is a grad assistant at Michigan Tech U and coaches himself with no sponsor.
1:49 during college, recently ran 1:47.9.
Supremely talented with good 400 speed and was good cross country runner.
Someone better pick him up. Go Tom!

I know she will get ROASTED on here for that comment, but as a giant biased fan, I am excited about her level of confidence. Granted, she wasn't facing Jenny B or some of the global heavyweights she will have this summer, but Shannon is in a good place physically and mentally.
That being said, what the heck is up with the ENTIRE NOP getting "sick." I know they work together every damn day but...are they sharing beds, pillows, and toothbrushes?
USATF.TV coverage of the pole vault was great...got to see almost the entire women's mile on the screen behind the vaulters.
Shannon with the win over Mackey 4:34.4 to 4:34.8. She pumper her arm at the finish and didn't crack a smile until the post-race interview.
Post race on NBC shannon said if she was in better shape she might have gone for the AR.
Her most interesting comment was, "I was surprised the girls wouldn't let me go with 600 to go... but good for them" for challenging her. Did she really think they would just wave the white flag in a national championship?
Wow I just checked the schedule. There are only 3 running events in the next 1:45. Going to be a thin broadcast.

Cory Leslie says he's running the 1k as he doesn't get a chance to do that very often and will think about whether he should the mile after the 1k is over.
she looked uncomfortably nervous before millrose... it was hard to watch her at the start. she still ran really well but I thought the nerves might explain her locking up at the end. i didn't see today and rarely watch track on t.v. so i alternatively wondered if she always appears very nervous.

I can't believe Tim Hutchings is relegated to doing the USATF.TV broadcast.
He needs to get a bowtie like Lewis Johnson to get back on the TV portion of the broadcast. IMO Hutchings is the better broadcaster.

Yeah she was right there throughout but faded.
Afterwards, David Monti said something like "Not too bad" and she replied, "Absolute dog**** if that's what you mean by not so bad."
So she wasn't happy with it or her indoor season. That being said, I got a nice interview with her where she talks about trying to get back to being the world #1. She said with her injuries they've done different training than in the past, playing it safe to stay healthy. The good news is she is 100% healthy and heading for a training stint in CA pretty soon.

I actually can't not like her. She's ballsy and fun. Although you may be simply trashing on the announcers, who deserve it, and that has nothing to do with your opinion of Alysia.

I'm sure the biggest story is many of you are thinking, "Who the **** is Thomas Scott? He won his heat. Let us introduce you to him:
Harun Abda talks about training with Mo Aman whom he likes a great deal (they speak the same language).
Kyle merber bombed at Millrose 406 but said he knew has in great shape as nerves got to him. He had a 2:22 1k pb before tonight when he ran 2:19.
He had to run the 1k as he didn't have a mile qualifier.
Robby Andrews won that 1k heat. He was very upbeat but balked at talking about his strategy for the final:
Ha. I have nothing against either. The announcers try, that's all I ask. Montano is doing her job well if we're always talking about her. Good for her, I'm just not particularly interested in the interest stories (which she often occupies)
Rojo, which employees are with you?! You are doing some amazing live coverage while contributing to the LRC discussion boards. This is how the internet was designed to be used.
This Quad-Cam is surprisingly nice for the field events. If they would keep a ticker going of the current leaders in each event I might begrudgingly commend USATF for their coverage.
