This whole argument is non-sense. The Mile is a made up event anyway. You don't see the Kenyan's giving a crap about the mile. It's all about the 1500. Until we start focusing on the 1500 we will never beat the Africans.

Hard to argue with UO as the champ in such a scenario, but looks like Ole Miss could definitely be a podium team. I would think that PSU and Stanford would also be in the mix.

Potentially 3 and a half 4Xmile relays under 16 flat.

Chez has run 3:36 (3:53 conversion)

Jenkins has run 3:58

Geohegan has gone 3:58

Alexander has gone 3:59

Elkaim has gone 3:59

Winn has gone 4:01

Gregorek has run 4:01

Prakel has gone 3:41, 4:01

Haney ran 4:02 (1600) in HS last year

Stinson has gone 7:55 for 3000, projecting a 3:57-3:58

Leingang has gone 7:55 for 3000, that projects sub 4 (3:57-3:58)

Brewer has gone 8:02 for 3000, that projects 4:01

Jablonski has gone 8:03 for 3000, that projects to 4:01-4:02

Pepiot has gone 8:06 for 3000, projects to 4:03

And there are at least a few others around 14:10 or so for 5000 which would predict good mile potential.

That is potentially 3 and a half 4 x mile relays under 16:00.

That's based on current PR's and no improvement.

These are PR's, I don't see anywhere 12 guys averaging under 4 mins in the mile, and whoever on these boards said Oregon could possibly have 4 sub 16 teams was way off, you guys are giving them way too much hype

I don't think people on here realize how hard it is to have everyone run well on the same day. Much less ten people running under 4 min all on one day.

I have been told today Sean Tobin is out for the indoor season. He has a broken foot. Happened in the first 1k of NCAA Cross.

Since it's been established that Oregon is the best mile school in the country, who rounds out the top 5? Right now I would put Ole Miss in there. Stanford has a great crew as well. I can't think of any more that come to mind though, maybe Washington?

They may not be the best yet but, Ole Miss has come a long way in their distance program. Vanhoy gets all the credit here, even though someone else was awarded coach of the year, it's all coach Vanhoy. Just wanted to give a shout out the the man who, writes and implements the workouts and recruits the events. We all appreciate you!! Go Rebs!!!!!

This kid couldn't cut it as a multi eventer so not very impressed. I was told she couldn't hurdle, high jump, or long jump so they had to find something to do with her. Not impressed at all. Let' see how she looks when all the other schools get farther into the season.

They don't have anyone coaching the Multi's who has a clue how to train for the event. She's a good athlete and luckily landed with a coach on the staff who knows how to train. She'll continue to improve. Maybe Vanhoy can start coaching Fabia McDonald as well, that way she can score at SEC's

Ole miss doesn't even have the best mile crew in D2. Adams is better
