I LOVE TRACK! But, I am surprised more colleges do not cut it. It is a very expensive sport to have with very little ROI. The future is to have a M&W XC team and a distance track team only - the XC coach coaches both teams / sports with 1 asst. or GA - once again, I love track but to employ several F/T coaches, all the equipment, a track, with very little ROI - it does not surprise me - You could have 30 athletes in your distance program for very little money - that is a good ROI

Not talking major D1 programs - more looking at the smaller D1's and D2/D3 and NAIA -
