I am not a huge Hall fan, but he ran 62:51 at RnR San Diego in June and came through 10 in 47:44 there. Granted it's a slight downhill course, but going 47:xx or even slightly faster this weekend shouldn't be a surprise.

Laugh now, cry later, as my prediction will be a lot closer than yours. Ryan Hall is far from done, very far from done.

They're still shooting. It takes a lot of film to make a movie with a 41 day screen time.

The course is not flat deceptive especially making numerous bridge crossings over the 3 rivers with plenty of turns.

WPA native Jeff Weiss is scheduled to run it again this year after a good finish last year behind Kenyans training in Texas who had run Tulsa the week before.

Carly Seymour former FLN XC runner while in HS in WPA and Duke Athlete now living in Pgh. Has run well locally @ the Debbie Green 5k in Wheeling, WV 10th, winning both the Gatorade Steelers 5k, and the Pgh. Great Race 10k after being away from the sport.

I'd be shocked if he's under 50.

Likely scenario: his agent has told him he must finish a race in order to retain sponsorships through 2015. (So he picked a moderate 10 miler after all the real marathons have been completed, knowing that top tier talent will be out.) top 3 finish under 49:30 saying that he is gaining form and other nonsense.

I certainly hope not. Sara just ran 52:54 a few months back.

Did you change your handle from when you posted this?

If Hall doesn\'t run 45:59 or better, it\'d be hard for him to justify sticking with Daniels. Rumor is that he\'s considering a switch to Magness (who\'s had great success with Sara) if this 10 miler goes poorly.

Hall to Magness would make a lot of sense. VDOT tables aren't everything ... But I think low 46s would still be solid for Ryan

You can't seriously think that Hall should leave Daniels after just two months, regardless of how he runs in the Pittsburgh 10 miler.

Hall to Magness would be the Saban to Texas of pro running. A friend DID tell me that he spotted Ryan and Sara looking at real estate in the Greater Houston area. IT'S ALL HAPPENING.
