No division I NCAA female athlete broke 4:11 for 1500 last outdoor season, the NCAA was won in 4:13 - I can't think that Cain would have had any problem running away with that race. She belongs in the pro ranks.
No team in the Country does less with more then Stanford does year in year out. Stanford=where great runners go to get slower
and who can forget Erin O'Donahue.

Relative to the best competition the NCAA has to offer I think you are mistaken.

Well you think wrong. The indoor championship and the outdoor juniors were slow enough for other NCAA runners to win also.

No, where very good, very bright/motivated high school runners go to the most competitive college in the world. Almost no high school women runners are going to make it as professional runners. These gals are going to a great school in a great locale and with great teammates and classmates. I think that this 'where great runners go to get slower is really a reflection of the fact that some non-trivial number of them do not have the same objective as those going to Arkansas.

I almost feel bad for Stanford and it's runners. I mean they get a top 2 recruiting class ever single year Men and Women and never even sniff top 10-20 at NCAA for Track.

Don't feel bad because the folks that get booted, hurt, or quit are able to stay at the University and land a Stanford degree.
The numbers that fall into this category are astonishing. Just look back 5-10 yrs. Teams of championship caliber athlete's have just disappeared at that place.
