It's possible to think some is a scumbag and not be racist. You generalizing judgmental creeps are the worst.
I recently read this below in an American magazine - is that racist or simply stating a fact:

You are a racist and we have seen that continually. However, in this one case, what you said was not inaccurate. Somali men in the UK have the lowest paid employment rate of any immigrant group, and whereas Kenyan and numerous other immigrant groups in the UK have HIGHER employment rates than native-born UK residents, only a very small portion of Somali men in the UK are employed.
Moreover, on measures such as getting a good score on five GSCE(?) exams, which are taken at age 16 in the UK, only 33% of Somali students reached that result, in comparison to 78% of Nigerian students (Obviously language is an issue). Efforts to provide books and tutoring can be successful, however. In one school area, only one Somali in 2000 scored good on the five tests, but about ten years later after a program providing books and tutoring at a center was put into place, 59% of Somalis in the district reached that level.

I sailed in and out of West African ports for years and even briefly worked in Zambia and of course I am racist.
I’m racist much the same as our ancestors were when they arrived in Africa.
They found no built environment, just primitive tribal societies, who had no written language, no commercial agriculture, who had not even progressed to the wheel or plough.
Our expertise and capital constructed the entire road and rail system from the Cape to Dar es Salaam.
We introduced education, we brought health care and sanitation.
We developed every factory, mine, sea-port, airport, water system.
We built huge hydro-electric dams and power stations such as Kariba, created nationwide electricity grids and telephone networks.
We provided law and order, justice and security, (one of my uncles was a DC in Kenya in the 50’s) and good governance.
Sixty years ago, it was safe to drive from Nairobi to Cape Town.
Not anymore - under self-rule Africa is gradually reverting back to the primitive state we found it in.
As for the Americans - under their current immigration policy, it is easier for an 18 year old Mexican youth with no formal education and even with a criminal record, to gain American citizenship, than a British neurosurgeon or a German engineer.

Joe Binks, are you saying that Europeans were humans that moved out of Africa and had to evolve more to survive? By developing more tools and using teamwork for the colder climates?
While western Africans developed longer legs and faster running for hunting? And those at altitude in Kenya developed better lungs and smaller, more efficient bodies to survive on lower calories?
If what you are saying is true, then that means all the hippie, left-wing people are actually being naive when they want to welcome all immigrants. This type of open door policy is based on the notion that we're all the same and all deserve an equal chance.

With all due respect to your Founding Fathers, I do not find it “self-evident” that all men are created equal.
If anything, it appears bleedingly obvious that they are highly—even comically—unequal.
Equality is one of the most ludicrous notions ever hatched from a human brain.
But despite its self-evident falsehood, it seems the closest our secular society has to a sort of shared religious belief.
It seems to exist not as an established and unquestionable fact, but mostly as a tranquilizer for the less-than-equal.
And as for Africa - it would be a paradise were it not for the inhabitants.
Were it settled by say, the Swiss or the Japanese, the place would be transformed.
The nightmare reality though, is that despite all the starvation, disease, conflicts and wars (and Ebola!) we are told we should send relief to - in a mere 36 years time, there will be 1,282,540,000 more Africans living on that continent than are living there right now.

A great deal of what we know as civilization derives from Africa. But as for the present, African countries have known high economic growth rates since around 2000 and have been developing rapidly. African culture has influenced innumerable artists and musicians around the world. On an individual basis, many of my students at a secondary school in Malawi were brilliant, tough, hard-working, and stunningly overachieved above their economic and physical circumstances. In the United States, Nigerian immigrants are the most educated of any ethnic group. Don't tell me that Africans are not up to the standard of your precious UK residents. I see what you're saying.
But maybe Kenyans have a good work ethic as part of their culture while Briton males are more spoiled and feel entitled to have benefits. Usually 1st generation migrants are willing to work hard to improve their lives. Kenyans being employed doesn't necessarily mean that they're smarter, though.
Also being educated is different from actual achievement. Sure, Nigerians may come in and be curious and sign up for classes, but how many nobel prizes have they received? Also this sub-population might be skewing the results, if the immigrants are already relatively better off and able to afford airplane tickets and english classes.
Also, if you were to place white Americans into a Kenyan training program, that would be nice for an equal opportunity, but the white men simply would not be able to become world champions just because you place them into the environment. Using the same logic, you might not be able to simply force blacks to mix with white children and expect another Steve Jobs as a black man.
Again I'd like to point out that I'm not racist, but I'm interested in hearing Joe Binks' response because he has actual real-world experience in Africa. I've never been there, and I'm wondering how he openly admits to being racist.
My experience in Africa is easily summed up, total ineptitude and total corruption.

They do have a genius of sorts for thinking up the most outrageous frauds and scams that still catch out unwary westerners.
Check out any list of the least corrupt nations to do business with and you’ll come up with something like this list, with the USA coming 19th:

Here is a fact you won't see in the American mainstream media:
Israeli protests against African immigrants who have been seeking asylum in the Jewish State, have gained a lot of numbers lately. Riots rising to 1000-strong in Tel Aviv failed to convince many that they were “protests” as right-wing Israelis described them.
Israeli residents of the Hatikva neighborhood swarmed the streets, waving Israeli flags and screaming “Deport the Sudanese”.
Others could be heard yelling, “Infiltrators get out of our homes”.
Passing African migrant workers and refugees from the Sudan were already being beaten in the streets when police arrived on the scene.
Store windows were broken out on many stores, and trash cans lit on fire. Some African migrant workers driving by were attacked, having their car windows smashed, as the angry crowd tried to pull them from their vehicles. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz says that other rioters searched taxis for Africans, but finding none, allowed the cabs to pass on.
