I ran yesterday, and it was easily the most miserable weather in which I have ever run, never mind competed. I live in south central PA and often train in DC when I am down there for work, and this was just so much worse. I ran slower than my half time...

Almost certain she didn't start. Didn't see her at the tech meeting.

Brutal conditions. Never sweat so much in my entire life. Sun with no shade. Definately had to back off on the pace in order to survive.

She blogged the other day about how her appendix burst. Also fractured a rib from a fall in NYC after the Mini 10K in June.

It was warm and humid but not terrible. I ran 36 seconds slower than last year. My conditioning was about the same. There is no way that anyone should of been a minute slow. There also was plenty of shade in the last half of the course.

A comparison of repeaters from 2013. Llano and Quigley held it together, or suffered more last year, while the others took nearly 2:00 longer. Quigley is arguably in better form this year, after his 7 mile championship.
