The U.S. has an inept president who does not secure borders and, in a roundabout way, welcomes any intruders to enter the country. Consequently, individual citizens must prepare themselves to fight against any invasive entities who have the chutzpah to make themselves known.

Guns in the hands of the citizens are a fundamental defense of this country. It's insane for ISIS to think they can take the Texas border. They must not know that Texas has one of the highest per capita gun ownershit rates. Any invasion will quickly be smashed.

A gun in the hand of a man defending his land is extremely valuable, as long as his American fingers aren't too fat to squeeze the trigger.

Serious answer, I reckon there is a cultural aspect. In the US there is more of a tendancy to associate guns with freedok, while in Europe, they are associated with oppression and death. I guesd the difference might come out of the fact that the US doesnt have the experience of being invaded that most European countries do.A more partisan answer would be that the US is full of ignorant, hateful morons like this.
