Next year's 200 is going to get very interesting with Schippers, Bowie, Okagbare all looking great this year, Felix and Shelly Ann are both still in prime form and should be back. Veronica Campbell might have something left. Shaunae Miller of Bahamas is also one to watch.
I did thread a few weeks after she ran a pair of eyebrow raising times. Now she runs the 3rd fastest 200m in the last 6 years into a headwind. She's like Okagbare, very tall, tons of power, slow start, monster top end. In her 200 she looks like she's running downhill for the last 50m. Just 22, she's a babe.
She's still committed to the hep, but I don't see why she couldn't keep sprinting. JJK did both the LJ and 200m pretty much full time throughout her career.
The Dutch have lucked out with two young ladies on the rise. Sifan Hassan looking superb in the 1500. They may choke in soccer, but at least they have two ladies to boast about.

Look at the 2012 London or 2013 Daegu finals in the men's 5000/10000 and the women's 100/200. Far more whites in the men's 5/10.
That is in part because real elite distance runners don't really bother with the 10,000 and that makes it a weak event for runners like Rupp to sneak medals in.

The 5k finas have 16 athletes so you have to compare it to the women's semi. In that case, the score is as follows:
Men's 5000m: 3.5 (I'll count the Mexican as a half)
Men's 10000m top 16: 3
Women's 100m semi: 4
Women's 200m semi: 5
Conclusion: white female sprinters win, Rupp's WL is more unlikely.
