I don't know who wouldn't take this bet. It is very unlikely he breaks 27, as the pacing for 10k's usually ends up garbage.

I'm not sure if Rupp is in 26:48 shape, but I think he is no worse than right around 27 shape. I say 60% chance Rupp goes sub 27 if they hit 5k in 13:30 or less, and 90% chance he gets it if the leaders hit 8k in 21:40 or less.

If they hit 8k in 21:27 or less I say 30/70 Rupp is still with the group, with a 75% chance from there of bettering his AR if he is still hanging on.

You know except the two AR he set a couple months ago

He was a great runner. Still a good runner, but not a threat to the AR any longer.

Except rupp has been gradually brought along, not over trained, ARs this indoor season, how can you not think he will be setting PRs this summer?

Rupp is not ageless. That has nothing to do with actual age. It has everything to do with physical age. Rupp trained for an AR in the 10k and got it. Rupp has not been trained for longevity like Lagat. Rupp's best times are in the past.

PRs?? So limiting of Rupp in his prime. WRs are at well in hand for Rupp in the next four years. Rupp avoids major injuries, that is the secret to his success.

I am a rupp fan but doubtful he will be getting any outdoor WRs, those records are nuts. I do see him pushing the 5k and 10k records out of reach though. (We'll 10k is already getting there)

rupp wouda liked something more 13'20 pace to use his full metronomic abilities

he was virtually 100% certain better in london than brussels

rupp shoud be very disappointed if he doesn't get close to 26'30 in his career

( if his training partner, who allegedly from sal doesn't have significantly better speed than rupp can go 3'28, you can bet rupp woud be close behind over 1500 )

It's just easy to criticize when someone actually says they are going to try. Much easier to be that guy that shows up to every race "just tempoing it".
