The Dodgers were not going to sell for $2B either.

Magic has already said that if he was going to be an owner, he would need help from someone richer than he is, Mark Walter.
Oprah, and others. Sterling will nudge Magic to get rich black supporters. Magic will be face of the team, and basketball expert. Rich people like Oprah want someone in charge who knows the game. Oprah wants a free court side seat, and to make money, which she will. Magic will move up into the billionaire ranks once the deal is done.

Magic already owns the Dodgers with Walter and everyone understands that Magic comes with Walter. Walter (or really his group the Guggenheim Group) will be the big money behind it if they are the purchasers though as you said Magic will be the face.

What's scary is that Cuban is a billionaire, so he has the means and access to defend himself. Imagine how badly this can affect a regular guy?
We're at a point where if you are white you should just move on, DO NOT speak on the issue of race-ever.
Yeah, and Mark Cuban has no history that would lead anyone to think he is a racist, but now he's a dead man.
There's a group of people in the US that live to be permanently outraged and offended. Stuff like this just gives them ammunition.
If Cuban had just said, "I know if I see some ruff looking characters I'll move to the other side of the street" he might have saved himself some grief. Instead he got too detailed and BAM! a guy with no history of racism, is the center of a media racial storm.
Man, you "white folk have it bad" crew are really having to dig for this one. I hadn't even heard about what Cuban said until I read about it here, so no, it is not being treated the same way as Sterling's comments. After reading about what he said, IDGAF. This is a non-issue and your contention that Cuban is done for now is laughable.
Sterling is selling. Mark Cuban has been saved.

No.
People won't go after Cuban for this.
It's a subjective response at a different level.
Cuban does not come off as feeling that the whole black race is inferior the way Sterling did.
But don't take my word for it.
Look for reaction from the people and see if anything comes of this.
+1
I read the comments below the story when this was first posted a few days ago and the majority of readers were in agreement with Cuban. Big difference between saying 'everyone is biased (a bigot) in some way' and 'I don't like black people'.
Imagine Dragons suck, so you have no credibility.

This may come as a surprise, but people who wear hoodies, cover the heads, and cower down, are sending you a message. The don't want to be identified. They want you to respect them, but they don't care about respecting you. Failure to respect them, such as not moving out of their way, will lead to strutting and threatening looks: "Get out of my way, or else."
Lol, no you're wrong and crazy. I'll repeat - sometimes people wear hoodies because they are just cold. I did that very thing this morning.
Was I trying to send anyone a message? No. Was I trying to be unidentifiable? No. Was I pushing people off the sidewalk? No. I was just cold.
You're living in some fantasy world where all black people are trying to "strutt" and "threaten" you. Only white people are allowed to be cold in 30 degree weather.

Did you strut? Where your pants down with your underware sticking out? Was your face down and completely hidden? Did you send out signals that people needed to get out of YOUR way because you were the owner of the sidewalk?

Your perception is not reality, but is hilarious.

Well it's Urban weekend on South Beach. And guess what? All the white people get the hell out of town.
I like Mark Cuban. At least he is being honest. He doesn't seem to give a crap what anyone else thinks of him.

He was commenting on person safety. If you see someone that can affect your personal safety you naturally avoid that person. Cuban also mentioned white guys that he avoided too but let's take everything anyone says out of context and hang them with it...that will make our society less racist.
Jesse Jackson, Jr., said something very similar. Where was the outcry on that?
I called out my grandmother for the same thing. She's a typical white person.
