F**k that. Nike has systematically taken over the sport and controls it with an iron grip. Who are you to say other companies or entities wouldn't put money in and track would be in fine shape? If Nike money and power is the ONLY thing that can save the sport, then screw this sport.

Track would be in pretty bad shape without Nike money.
But that shouldn't mean that their athletes should get competitive advantages with officials.
Just nicer hotels, accommodations and training facilities.
I hope she gets lapped 2x at worlds and gets clipped, but not impeded, by a careless runner.

She doesn't seem to think she did anything wrong because-guess what- she did nothing wrong! Her contact with Hasay was at least as much the fault of Hasay's indecisiveness and extreme fatigue. An argument could very well be made that Hasay's "lane bobbing" impeded Gabe.! Regarding Rowbury, the videos all show that Gabe did not have contact with her. It's ridiculous that people will say she knocked down other runners, cut them off, etc. No one fell, got scraped up, or impeded in any significant way...as determined by the TWO protest denials.

Looks like someone has never raced indoor and is a fan of revisionist history. Grunewald clearly clipped Hasay which caused her "lane boob" and to pretend that something like that has no effect in the late stages of a race is asinine.

Following your "logic", after every race 800 meters and up, there should be apologies made by virtually every runner in the field. There is a lot of contact in track, especially indoor. Yes, dxxkwad, I've raced a lot indoors while running for a DI school, and that's exactly why I feel that there was no significant contact...and Hasay was equally to blame by her lane "boobing" (as you spelled it!). No apologies from Jordan either, but not necessary.
Also, it's interesting that so many elites (including Leer, Lomong, Shalane F., Adam Goucher, Kara Goucher...) would step up and say that the DQ was a disgrace, and they have seen much more contact in their indoor races. But, of course, you know more than these athletes!
I quit racing years ago, so no color runs, warrior dashes, turkey jogs... I'll leave that to you!! Sheesh, Nike Fan boys!

I guess they don't teach manners at "D1" schools. I always actually talked to my competitors at least to say good race or sorry for the bump. They returned in kind. it was all cool..we didn't go immediately whining to the internet .

Gabe put herself in the position to be "judged" by the process by her own actions. She had plenty of speed and time to go around Hasay without any contact whatsoever.
Therefore her statement complaining about the process is silly, she could have avoided the whole mess had she simply raced better. She displays a victim mentality, but she put herself in the position to BE the victim.

So since Nike provides a ton of support for track and field, they should be able to bend the rules and bully the other competitors?
