Despite Joe's uphill prowess, I'd have to say those downhills helped a TON. Every trackie/roadie was getting shit on pretty bad through the long twisty descent at the bottom of the course.
If you like true XC, its hard not to give props to Max King, this course was absolutely gorgeous.
BS , poorly designed course , no x-country in world is this silly , european , US or Africa. I would suggest Max stick to mtn. trail running.

Actually Hudson was 2nd as explained by Letsrun:
The Beasts TC won the team title. (It’s a primarily Brooks club out of Seattle, but lets non Brooks athletes join, including Brie Felnagle of adidas).
Felnagle ran in adidas garb so they should be disqualified. This is a club race and you have to represent the same club with your uniform. Beast TC did not.
I'm curious how some of the older runners found the course. Given the heavy emphasis this meet has on age division competition, plus the fact that men of all ages have to run the full 10K, was the course reasonable or too demanding? I wasn't there so don't know, just wondering.
If anyone wants to know one of the many reasons why running is seen as second tier. It is not 5 hours or so after the race and there are no results anywhere? It is not that hard to upload a file from the timing system.
For comparision there was a small regional supercross race today in southern california. it had live video streaming.
but a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS has no video, no webcast, no results.

People who watch or participate in supercross probably wouldn't flip out if one of their top websites started charging $20 per month. Not a valid comparison.

What the hell? Can we just make a rule that if you're over the age of 50 you can't be in the USATF anymore. Or the NFHS for that matter. Freakin dinosaurs.
The results are up, after a fashion. So, if you're looking for times, you cannot look under "Open Men Overall," because while you will find place finishes, you will not find finishing times. For the times you have to go to either "Open Men by Age Group" or "Open Men Team Scores"--and the same for the Women. Of course, for the former listing, one finds Men 20-24 and then Men 25-29. In other words, as best I can tell, there is not a single listing indicating the order 1 through whatever. Bizarre . . . and pathetic.
