Little Jordan Hasay was the girl who mesmerized all of America with her Olympic trials final in the 1,500 while in High school.

She then went on to have a stellar career at Oregon. Her training is progressing to levels unseen by any woman in the history of distance running in the world. You'll be hearing of her very soon if you haven't already.

No doubt this Baxter girl will then break all of Hasay's records but that will take a few more years.

I don't think she seemed awkward at all. She was freezing cold and in a state of devastation. In the other interviews I've seen, she has seemed extremely down to earth and likable. I will definitely be rooting for her in college and in the future. And I would bet heavily that you're very wrong about there not being much down the road for her.

And everyone thought that the marathon would be Ritz's event.

Rysn Hall ran big mileage in high school.

Kastor ran pretty big mileage in high school.

Their marathon foundation started then.

Baxter runs low mileage. Maybe a sub 2:30 marathoner (which is still good.) Can't make up those lost years in the marathon though.

He was a lot closer to 2:08 than 2:07. Good times but not for a sub 13 5k guy who is supposed to get better as the distance increases.

Consider some things about a developing woman;

Body development, puberty change, desire to have a baby, falling in love and getting married, not feeling the drive as much after accomplishing several distances.

No desire to run a marathon.
